At TDF Patagonia Tour our customers’ safety is very important and a top priority. We have been working hard in order to be ready for the reopening of borders and operations post Covid-19. Below is all the information and protocols for our guests.
The tourism and hospitality industry has faced an unprecedented and difficult time. Our aim is to provide quality and safety for our guests. To adapt during the corona virus, we have implemented new safety standards . Below are measures that will apply during our tours, as well as travel recommendations for our guests:
Group tours will have a maximum capacity of 10 people. If you’re travelling together as a preexisting group, exceptions can be made.
We clean and sanitize the entire vehicle before transporting our guests, before, during and after each tour/service.
Hand sanitizer is one of the items we always keep available at any time during the tour. We have always recommended our guests to use it, but it will now be mandatory before group meals.
Food/Box Lunches will be sealed, individually distributed and not for sharing. You will be asked to hang onto any food waste you create during an excursion until you can dispose of it properly.
Limited group size and social distancing will be in effect. At the start or end of activities, briefings will be given in open outdoor spaces with face masks. Expect to be on less traveled roads, the lesser known trails and to stay distanced within your group while avoiding others. Trekking can be a low risk activity for transmission of Covid-19 due to several factors: It usually takes place in well-ventilated areas and it is easy to maintain social distance. However, it is important that travelers be aware of proper social distancing procedures and commit to following them.
Tour guides will wear face masks or other face protectors as well as gloves when he/she is less than 2 m form our guest, or inside vehicles and enclosed spaces. The guide will have spare face masks in case a traveler loses or damages their own. The first aid kit and hygiene products are the responsibility of the guide in charge.
Before the tours begins your guide will be required to take temperature readings. If there is anyone who presents symptoms, the company will be notified and the person will not be allowed to participate in the tour. Every participant should be given all information on the restrictions of the tour in an open space before getting in the transport vehicle. No physical contact between travelers will be allowed for the duration of the tour unless they are part of the same group.
Anyone who experiences symptoms while travelling won’t be able to take a part in activities or tours and should isolate themselves immediately. Notify your tour operator as soon as possible and avoid all non-essential movement and future travel. Symptoms of corona virus disease covid-19 include:
Cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fever, chills or muscle pain, loss of taste or smell, sore throat.
Less common symptoms include: nausea, vomiting or diarrhea.
