Karukinka Natural Park, located in the southernmost part of Tierra del Fuego, protects one of the most pristine landscapes on the planet. Subantarctic forests, peatlands, lakes, and unique wildlife coexist in perfect balance, far from human intervention.
This 3-day / 2-night program allows you to discover this privileged ecosystem through a journey that blends history, biodiversity, and responsible trekking.
Three days of deep exploration through one of Patagonia’s wildest corners. A journey that combines history, pristine landscapes, and responsible trekking in Karukinka Natural Park.
The journey begins in Punta Arenas, from where we cross the Strait of Magellan towards Tierra del Fuego island. Along the way, we pass through the landscapes of Porvenir and Laguna de los Cisnes, known for the sighting of stromatolites, one of the oldest forms of life on the planet.
We also visit the King Penguin Reserve. At the end of the day, enjoy a homemade dinner and the first overnight stay at Lago Blanco Lodge (drinks not included).
The second day is dedicated to trekking in the heart of Karukinka Natural Park. The hike is approximately 7 km, along an inclined trail surrounded by pre-Andean flora such as lenga, ñirre, and coihue trees. Along the route, we reach viewpoints located at 428 meters above sea level, offering unique opportunities for wildlife spotting and a deep connection with the natural environment.
The day ends once again at Lago Blanco Lodge, with breakfast, box lunch, and dinner included (drinks not included).
The route may vary and follow an alternative trail depending on availability and weather conditions.
On the third day, we begin the journey back to Punta Arenas, starting with breakfast at the lodge and another ferry crossing.
The trip concludes with transfer to your respective accommodations.
